Alonso had 24 months of non-extraction orthodontic treatment utilizing the Herbst appliance and braces. He was an excellent, highly motivated patient. The Herbst appliance eliminated the severe protrusion of the upper front teeth and gave Alonso a tremendous boost in self-confidence. The dramatic facial profile improvement is as if there had been jaw surgery, but there was not. Emotionally, orthodontics brought Alonso “out of his shell”. He does not always wear a Santa hat, but it was Christmas-time when the final photos were taken. Alonso’s transformation is one of our favorite treatment results.
